What’s truly amazing is the taste. It’s hard to believe that something so good has so much nutritional value. But what is an Acai bowl?

Simple. It’s a smoothie in a bowl with toppings.

Think Froyo, but much healthier. Add your favorite toppings to turn a simple smoothie into a work of genius and remember, always go organic.

How to make the perfect bowl?

The Smoothie:

The goal here is to create a yogurt like texture so it is smooth, thick, and filling. Place your ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until ideal texture. If you want it thicker add more nut butter, if too think add more vegan milk.

Ingredients with suggested ratio:

Almond, Coconut, Hemp, or Rice Milk – 1/3 cup
Almond or Cashew Butter – 3 tbsp.
Honey 1.5 – tbsp.
Coconut oil or Coconut Butter – 1.5 tbsp.
Frozen Berries – 1/2 cup
Acai Powder – 2 tsp.

The Toppings:

This is the best part because you create a work of art with your meal. Every meal you eat should be a glorious expression of the food. Make it look beautiful so it is fun and enjoyable to eat.

Add any combination of the follow. The more you put in the more filling it will be.

Nuts: Almonds, Walnuts, Brazil Nuts, Macadamia Nuts, Wild Jungle Peanuts, and/or Cashews

Superfoods: Goji Berries, Mulberries, Golden Berries, Bee Pollen, Maca Powder, and/or Apricot Kernels

Health Snacks: Go Raw Junk Free Foods, Coconut Organics, Mary’s Crackers, Gluten Free Oatmeal, and/or Gluten Free Granola

Seeds: Pumpkin Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, or Watermelon Seeds, Hemp Seeds, Chia Seeds, and /or Flaxseed

Raw Chocolate

Fruit: Apples, Oranges, Blue Berries, Black Berries, Strawberries, and/or Raspberries
Butters: Cacao, Coconut, Nut, and/or Seed Butter
