This sounds like a made-up story,

Tan Shen, a 26-year-old from Chengdu (the provincial capital of Sichuan province in Southwest China) had just gotten dumped by her boyfriend. Heartbroken, she wanted some chicken wings. So, she went to KFC and got some chicken wings.

And stayed there for an entire week.

In one of the greatest explanations, ever, Shen said,  “I hadn’t planned on staying there long, I just wanted some chicken wings. But once I got in there and started eating, I decided I needed time to think.”

On top of this already ridiculous approach towards handling relationship problems, the girl also called sick into work so she could stay at KFC longer. After a week of crispy soul-searching (and annoyance from media), she officially quit her job and moved back home to live with her parents.

Sources have validated the story with the restaurant’s employees, and we’ve confirmed that a KFC actually exists in Chengdu. So from the outside looking in, this story seems legit.

We’re still trying to figure out how someone got this photo of Tan Shen purchasing a ticket (at what appears to be) a train station:

On top of that, we have some more questions about this ludicrous (news) story:

A. Where did she brush her teeth?
B. Did she shower?
C. Did she order spicy or original?

Long story short, don’t be surprised if this man was behind it:
