In preparation for the 2016 release of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”, Warner Bros. has begun their viral marketing campaign through the use of a made-up company called LexCorp.

The movie is intended to be the follow-up to 2013’s “Man of Steel”. Directed by Zack Synder, “Batman v Supeman” stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne and Jeremy Irons.

It’s also the first theatrical film to feature live-action portrayals of Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Cyborg.

Warner Bros. took no shortcuts in their attempt to legitimize LexCorp.

First came Lex Luthor’s Twitter profile and his official company website. Then came this native advertisement in Fortune Magazine featuring a staged biopic of Lex Luthor.

And finally, last night, Warner Bros. released this commercial on their Youtube page as an attempt to further develop their faux marketing campaign.

I’d say it’s working.

Hans Zimmer will return to compose the film score and Junkie XL will also collaborate on the score and compose the theme for Batman.

And if you still have yet to watch the trailer for the upcoming movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, now is the time.

And make sure to be on the lookout for one of these original, LexCorp USB drives making their way around the country. Because who doesn’t love a free USB drive?
