What have T.J. Miller and Thomas Middleditch – a.k.a. Erlich Bachman and Richard Hendricks from the brilliant HBO comedy Silicon Valley – been up to between the end of Season 2 and the much-anticipated premiere of Season 3?

Playing themselves in Smirnoff commercials apparently.

If you watch the show, you’d know it’s impossible to not think Silicon Valley when you see T.J. Miller and Thomas Middleditch’s faces next to each other. If you don’t watch the show, well, you aren’t good at TV.

And last night, during the Oklahoma City Thunder-San Antonio Spurs game on ESPN (a dandy by the way), I did a double take/regretted not paying for DVR when I saw Erlich and Richard’s faces out of nowhere during a commercial break.

As you’ll see in the video above, Erlich and Richard are 887 miles from New York Comic Con, the latest stop in a Smirnoff ad campaign originally titled “The Road Trip.”

It’s by far the funniest part of the whole video series, which is based on Miller and Middleditch making the trip but might as well be Erlich and Richard taking a Pied Piper company road trip.

A Pied Piper road trip where Erlich wants to party with young kids and have them pay for a bag of Cheeto’s he took from their shopping cart in the first place. Pretty standard.

“What’s up partyers? What kind of night is it?”

Nothing official is out regarding the Silicon Valley Season 3 premiere date, but according to Kumail Nanjiani – a.k.a. Dinesh – filming is off and running.

See you soon, partyers.
