If you think Jonathan Toews is an impressive hockey player now, just wait until you witness him play as a 10-year-old.
In a video that has gone unseen for far too long (at least by us), Toews officially validates why scouts have been drooling over him since junior high.
Not only is the Blackhawks captain three outings shy of his 500th game, he recorded his 200th career goal during Chicago’s 5-0 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night. Oh yah, he had his 250th career assist in that game as well.
The video below takes place in Edmonton at the 1998 Brick Super Novice Hockey Tournament. Despite being shorthanded two men, Toews (no. 68) makes an impressive steal on his team’s own end. And then, he successfully embarrasses every other kid on the ice (as well as any spectating parent).
Watch the video below, and prepare to be amazed…by a 10-year-old.
