For the second year in a row, topping the Forbes highest paid DJs list is none other than Taylor Swift’s boyfriend. Well, he’s more than that – he’s also the face of Giorgio Armani’s underwear line.
But on a serious note, it’s no joke that Calvin Harris is making an unreal amount of money every year. Wrangling in $66 million over the last 12 months gives him the top spot for the second year in a row.
Harris’ income nearly doubles the amount that 2nd place David Guetta received this past year – a measly $37 million.
According to Forbes, “Our earnings estimates include income from live shows, endorsements, merchandise sales, recorded music sales and external business ventures. Sources include Nielsen, Songkick, Pollstar, RIAA, promoters, managers, lawyers and some of the artists themselves.”
The youngest member of the esteemed ‘Highest Paid DJs’ list is 19 year old Martin Garrix. He and Zedd both made roughly $17 million this year.
Now, you have to remember that these producers aren’t running their projects solo – and a ton of that money goes back into production and keeping the operation running smoothly.
