Spring Awakening Music Festival isn’t a longtime Chicago tradition, but it has definitely cemented itself into our summertime agendas.
We’ll be recapping the whole weekend live and be posting photos, videos, GIFs, etc. of the weekend festivities at Soldier Field.
For those of you residing to your bedside for this weekend’s festival, don’t worry. We’ve been there.
From 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. CST, you can catch sets from Jack Ü, Oliver Heldens, and more. Not to mention, you’ll get an exclusive behind the scenes look of SAMF. Which is also tight.

And here’s regular schedule:
UPDATE 3 | Day 1
5:54 p.m. | Friday, June 12th, 2015
First notable event of the evening, The Floozies seem to be drawing quite the crowd on the Equinox Stage. The electronic funk duo from Lawrence, Kansas seems to be getting some love on Twitter as well (check the tweets below).
More updates later.

UPDATE 5 | Day 1
9:31 p.m. | Friday, June 12th, 2015
A. Spring Awakening’s live stream is some serious high-def shit. But they have some chick commenting on concerts she claims she wasn’t even at..which is interesting.
B. Zedd is about to come on and I forgot what the other thing I was going to say was.
UPDATE 6 | DAY 2
12:00 p.m. | Sunday, June 14th, 2015
Before we get into what happened on Day 3 at Soldier Field, let’s do a quick recap of Saturday.
Chicago natives Flosstradamus played the second to last set on the Main Stage Saturday night, and they brought out another Chicago native – Vic Mensa – to perform ‘U Mad.’ Looks like things got pretty wild.
Flosstradamus brought out Vic Mensa and I still can't get over it, 3rd time seeing him 🙌⚠️🔥 pic.twitter.com/BUFAkFM5yD

And two hours before Flosstradamus tore up the festival’s main stage, Jack U did the same thing – making their Midwest debut as Spring Awakening’s surprise headliner.
As you could imagine, the dynamic duo of Diplo (who played an hour solo set later on Saturday night) and Skrillex did not disappoint.

And here’s their entire live set from Spring Awakening:
UPDATE 7 | DAY 3
8:30 p.m. | Sunday, June 14th, 2015
Closing out the Equinox Stage outside the stadium, Afrojack had a big crowd going up. Especially when Twista joined him:
Playing on the Equinox Stage before Afrojack was Canadian dubstep DJ Excision; which as we found out in person was the wrong stage for him. Known for having insanely loud live performances thanks to massive sound systems, his speakers weren’t loud enough on a Spring Awakening side stage.
However, on the other side of the stadium was New York city native Branchez – who put on a very popular and quick hour set at the Phoenix stage.
If you haven’t heard of Branchez, you may have his heard his remix of Alesso’s “Heroes” that’s starting to blow up.
UPDATE 8 | DAY 3
9:30 a.m. | Monday, June 15th, 2015
Closing out night three – and the entire weekend – on Spring Awakening’s main stage were household names Zed’s Dead and Tiesto.
The former had the stage jam-packed long before the latter got on, especially for a Sunday night. And by the time Tiesto got on for SAMF 2015’s final act, the scene at Soldier Field was picturesque to say the least.
Besides that, there was naturally a large Blackhawks presence at the festival all weekend, especially after their huge win on Saturday night.
Even though most of that was via t-shirts, hats and jerseys – one dude decided to show his Blackhawks love with an epic Deadmau5 mouse head. Definitely the coolest picture we got all weekend:
