Not only did Mysteryland USA impress us when we selected two of its stages for our 20 Best Festival Stages, but the stateside edition of the Netherlands music festival left a lasting impression on the over 50,000 fans in attendance.
The Memorial Day Weekend festival took place on hallowed grounds last year, turning the site of 1969’s Woodstock into a dreamland for electronic music fans. Bethel Woods provided the sprawling landscape for six unique stages, Brooklyn’s Smorgusburg dining options, guest speakers and more art than your eyes can take.
The six-minute after movie dives into the full festival experience – from the hype leading up to the event to the sun-soaked days spent exploring and the nights filled with enticing mystery. This is one of the best put together after movies I’ve seen. The music is provided by Alina Baraz & Esta, Bro Safari, and Joris Voorn.
During the video we get to hear a few words from techno’s queen of darkness, Nicole Moudaber about why she loves the music festival experience. And we get to step into Diplo‘s perspective as he prepares to close out Mysteryland USA’s main stage on the final day. Watch the full six-minute after movie below, and be sure not to miss out next year.
