One month after the September 11th release of Nero‘s Between II Worlds album, the group will be trekking across North America for a 20-stop tour.
But when you look a little closer, there’s more than meets the eye.
Last we caught up with Nero, they were dropping heavy bass and seizure inducing light shows upon a sold out Chicago crowd at Lollapalooza. That was just a slight taste of what’s to come starting in October.
Kicking things back off in Chicago on October 2nd, Nero’s tour consists of two festival appearances, Austin City Limits and Safe in Sound. Among the other dates on the list are two secret warehouse locations in New York City, two stops in Canada and a final confirmed appearance in San Francisco on the 29th.
What really caught our eye are the two blurred out dates as seen on the flyer (below). We believe one of these to be the unannounced HARD Day of the Dead festival which was held at the Fairplex Arena in Pomona, California last year. According to an official press release confirms a “soon to be announced” Southern California stop for Nero. In our minds this all adds up.
What gives us even more evidence to the validity of the Day of the Dead lineup is this not so cryptic tweet from Marshmello earlier this month. Usually these lineups are set many weeks before they are officially released and of course artists/their managements are the first to know.
So far two of the artists on the leaked flyer above have all but confirmed their appearances at the SoCal Halloween festival. We’ll just have to play the waiting game to find out for sure.
