I usually hate New Years Eve in Chicago.
It’s always such a dolled up production each year, and the amount of money that we waste every December 31st is baffling.
So instead of spending your New Years Eve balling your eyes out in some dark alleyway as your friend Kathy tells you he isn’t worth it, hop on the CTA and head on down to beautiful Rosemont, Illinois for “Reaction NYE”.
Okay, so it’s not “actually” beautiful in Rosemont.
And, okay, it’s not what you would call “a place” “you want” “to be” “on New Years Eve”, but hell, it’s only $75 for a ticket.
Did you say $75?!? I did. But that’s not the price of the 2-day music festival, unfortunately.
Double it, and then subtract $5.
And then add $5 back on for the Rosemont city tax.
And boom! You got yourself a stew.
Artists include Deadmau5, Skrillex, Churches, Run the Jewels, Chance the Rapper, Robin Schulz, Bonobo, Green Velvet and Claude Von Stroke, Purity Ring, Cherub, Jamie Jones, Cashmere Cat, The Floozies, Thundercat, Joywave, BADBADNOTGOOD, Mija, Probcause, Rezz, Autograf, Jahkoy and more artists to be announced leading up to December 30th and 31st.
It’s going down Wednesday, Dec. 30 and Thursday, Dec. 31 at the Donald E. Stephens (DES) Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill., and tickets are on sale here.
General admission is for those 18 and older.
VIP is 21 and older, bitches!
So get ready for private bars, express entry, elevated premium viewing areas (like stilts?) and unlimited tap water.
