The lineup for Spring Awakening Music Festival has been released, and it’s pretty stacked.

Regardless of your preference of genre, the annual rendezvous of ravers has quite the list of eye-opening EDM performers. Main stage headliners consist of some of the biggest DJs in the world. But if you’re a festival veteran like me, that probably won’t excite you all that much (with the exception of Eric Prydz, because Soldier Field filled with his lasers will be face-melting and awesome).

Probably the best thing about this years festival that will make it one of the best yet: 18+ age limit (aka…no more high school kids searching for their lost friend “Molly”). But looking past the typical mainstage lineup for an EDM festival, some of the names towards the bottom of the bill should get you pretty excited for this year. It is filled with artists from a wide variety of genres, and ones that we happen to be particularly excited about.

Those include, but are not limited to several trap legends like Keys N Krates, Brillz, Slander & Grandtheft, dubstep kings Figure, Pegboard Nerds, Excision, & Zeds Deads. The lineup also includes some deep house names like Lane 8 & Skream, breakthrough artists Oliver Heldens & Slander and some of the most talented producers out there like Seven Lions, Wolfgang Gartner, & Morgan Page.

If you missed Wolfgang Gartner‘s performance before Bassnectar two summers ago, don’t miss it again. One of the best performances we’ve witnessed in the festival’s short history. The fact that he is depicted as a lesser name than everyone else on this bill is absolutely absurd and says something about how warped the perception of “mainstage potential” is today.
