We’d prefer the name of their album to be “Do Your Thang,” but we’re not The Floozies. Because we don’t make “future funk” irresistible, they do.

One simply doesn’t bring up the phrase “future funk” without mentioning The Floozies. Born in funk and bred in the digital age, this live electronic duo stormed onto the scene at a time when the industry needed them most. Brothers Matt and Mark Hill share the stage just as easily as they share a musical brain.

Without a setlist, and without a word between them, Matt’s guitar is in lockstep with the thud of Mark’s kick. Endless looping and production builds the raw scenery upon which palm muted chugs, searing solos, and wobbling bass paint their dazzling array of colors.

These soul brothers just released the funkiest album of the new year, and their headlining Do Your Thing Tour is going to get real weird (the good kind of weird).

A bold, live show full of sonic exploration and unbreakably deep pocket grooves has landed the brothers quite a reputation as of late, not to mention onstage gigs with Umphrey’s McGee, GRiZ and Big Gigantic. Sold out shows in major markets and huge festival appearances at Electric Forest, Wakarusa, and Summercamp have only cemented this fact.

With support from electro-soul wizards like Manic Focus and Russ Liquid on select dates, the Do Your Thing Tour will be one future funk experience you don’t want to miss.
