So this one came out of left field.
According to our best friends at React Presents, the music monopoly will be hosting yet another grand festival in the greater Chicago area this year.
It’s being called “The Largest Halloween Event in the Midwest,” which is not really saying much. However, the self-proclaimed “monstrous lineup” is pretty accurate.
Bassnectar, Armin Van Buuren, Pretty Lights, GRiZ, Richie Hawtin, Gesaffelstein, and Oliver Heldens are just a handful of the EDM artists that will perform. And on top of that, the festival features a notable slew of hip-hop artists as well – including 2 Chainz, Action Bronson, Mac Miller, Joey Bada$$, and Vic Mensa.
Apparently, this event has taken place over the last seven years. Which is news to us. But this year, it’s being expanded into a three-day festival with a brand-new location.
That being said, the location of this festival is the only head-scratcher. Toyota Park isn’t new to hosting large-scale concerts, but that doesn’t go without saying that the atmosphere of this event should blow the B96 Summer Bash out of the water.
Not to mention, considering the lack of success by Electric Daisy Carnival Chicago at the Joliet Speedway, I can’t imagine why anybody would put this many resources into a music festival taking place in the suburbs.
Shitty location aside, there are certain artists who will attract a crowd no matter what. And as you can see from the lineup below, Freaky Deaky has a lot of those artists.
Freaky Deaky 2015 will take place on Friday, October 30th through Sunday, November 1st at Toyota Park in Bridgeview. Early bird weekend passes are available for just $149.00, so click here if you want to buy tickets.
And finally, here’s an extremely bland but informational promotional video:
