The X Games 2015 takes place in Aspen from January 23rd to January 25th. Over the past few years, the team at Buttermilk Mountain have put together an impressive lineup of artists for their electronic music festival.

The schedule for this year includes Hip-Hop legends Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa as well as electronic music sensations Skrillex and Chromeo. Tim Reed, vice president of X Games, X Games Events & Content, said that the goal this year is to help create more of a festival atmosphere around the sporting events.

“I think it’s also really exciting to be able to pop over and take in some great live music during the breaks. It creates a really good vibe on the mountain, especially with a great mix of talent like we have here between Snoop and Wiz, Skrillex and Chromeo.”

Four-show general admission passes ($150) and preferred viewing passes ($200) for the concerts are available at, and the performances will be streamed live at

Snoop Dogg (better known by his latest aliases Snoop Lion, Snoopzilla and DJ Snoopadelic) is currently touring in support of his latest “7 Days of Funk” collaboration with Dam-Funk and his 2013 “Reincarnated” album which debuted as number 1 on the Billboard Reggae Chart.

The electro-funk duo Chromeo, who began in Montreal a decade ago, recently dropped their fourth album, “White Women.” The band has performed at festivals such as Coachella and Bonnaroo and were featured on “Late Show with David Letterman” and “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”

Do we even need to mention anything about Skrillex? The six Grammy’s speak for themselves, and his first studio album “Recess” has taken the electronic music industry by storm. His music has already been featured in commercials for X Games 2013, so Skrillex will be right at home when he takes the stage in January.

Rapper/singer and songwriter Wiz Khalifa, most well-known for his 2011 single “Black and Yellow,” is currently on tour in support of his fifth album, “Blacc Hollywood.”

And if for some reason those four names don’t float your boat, nearby Aspen Mountain will be hosting a free concert on January 24th featuring a DJ set by Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo of the Bloody Beetroots. The Belly Up venue in Aspen will also feature a full lineup of artists playing nightly X Games after parties.

“The Belly Up in Aspen has been a key partner and in the coming weeks will be announcing some really exciting artists playing at their own venue during X Games,” says Reed.

So grab your snow boots, a wad of cash, and some sunscreen. And get your ass to Aspen – where the beer flows like wine and where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.
