It’s only been two days, but I already like the NBA better without Carlos Boozer playing on a team.

For Bulls fans, hearing the name Carlos Boozer invokes thoughts of disappointing $80 million contracts, blown defensive assignments, weird free throw shooting mechanics, primal yelling episodes, and…spray-on hair.

Yeah, the Carlos Boozer era in Chicago was far from boring.

That last little detail about his eventful time with the Bulls – you know, the whole spray-on head of hair thing – was a mystery that simply got chalked up to ‘Boozer being Boozer’ when he unveiled it for a game against the Celtics in 2012.

Until yesterday, when Boozer joined Dan LeBatard and Bomani Jones on ESPN’s Highly Questionable.

The whole video is above but here’s just a few of the best quotes:

“They came out with this like…it’s a hair dye for men called The Beijing.”

“He just made myself look like shoe polish up there, man.”

“This is like five years later, and I’m still hearing about this!”

“I shampooed like seven times…and it still wouldn’t come out.”

Absolute gold. I’m not sure what’s funnier: Boozer’s candid explanation of the entire experience or Jones and LeBatard completely losing their shit.

Like they said, they weren’t even sure how to fit the question into the interview – but Bulls and NBA fans are happy they finally solved the Carlos Boozer Spray-On Hair Mystery.

Who knows if Boozer joins another NBA team at another point, but I’m hoping he doesn’t.

How else is he going to have time to find a hair dye for men that doesn’t make him look like a complete psycho?
